Next you must resolve where on the plasterboard wall you will position the Tv. Mark the centre position on the wall and a line where you wish the lowest of the plasma to be using a spirit level. To get the height of the wall mount, measure from the lowest of the screen to the top of the hook on the Tv bracket and replacement this determination to the wall. measure from the line, where you wish the lowest of the screen to go to the distance you have already measured, this will ensure the desired height. Now line up the wall mount to the centre line and the measured line for the height, using the spirit level again for straightness, and mark holes on the wall.

There are two types of plasterboard wall; one of which is called 'dot and dab' where the plasterboard is fixed to the blockwork using an adhesive, and the other being Stud Wall. To resolve which kind of wall you have, tap it - if there are solid sounding parts of the wall, then it is most likely dot and dab. This is the place most preferable to drill the holes. Usually, if the bracket covers a couple of the solid bits, then you will be fine, so be sure to fix the bracket here.

This is a solid mount, the wall plate is 17.7" wide, allowing it to be mounted into two standard studs 16" apart. This provides a stable two stud installation for displays in the 32-55" size range. This mount will fit hole patterns up to VESA 400x400 (16"x16"). It is made from 2mm steel and can handle displays weighing up to 115lbs. The profile is only 2.75" in the flat position yet offers up to 15 degrees of tilt. This mount is currently only available in black. Installation instructions and all mounting hardware are included. We do offer some larger mounts that fill fit TV's that have a hole larger pattern.

The alternative is that you have a stud wall, and in this case, be sure to attach the bracket to at least one stud, which will take the weight of your plasma/Lcd.
